Street festival in Bad Gastein
The street festival in Bad Gastein was a highlight of every summer season in the 90s and 2000s and now, after 15 years, it is taking place again this year “just like back then” in the town centre. Under the motto “Renaissance of a Legend”, a colourful festival for the whole family is offered starting from Straubingerplatz along Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Straße. After the marching in of the music bands and the associations from Mozartplatz, visitors can expect an extensive programme, which has been put together in cooperation with the local associations, the local gastronomy & trade as well as the Bad Gastein spa and tourism association.
In addition to a wide variety of culinary delicacies, you can look forward to a varied programme of activities by the individual associations that will delight young and old alike. Concerts in the square by the music bands and other live music acts will provide the musical backdrop and the best atmosphere!
To ensure that the festival runs smoothly, Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Strasse will be closed to traffic between the Grand Hotel de l’Europe from 11.00 am until probably 1.00 am.
The public bus will run to the Badehospiz or Mozartplatz. Detailed information on the road closure will be provided in due time!

Much of the route is covered on bike paths, a particularly picturesque bike path in Upper Friuli lies on an abandoned railway line.
