Guests book a ticket up to the first stop in Salzburg and then use the Guest Mobility Ticket. However, this requires the guest to carry out a pre-check-in and you as the accommodation provider must submit the ticket digitally in advance. Businesses that do not yet register electronically are urged to contact the guest registration office to set up online guest registration.

As part of the introduction of the Guest Mobility Ticket and in the interests of sustainability, there are also changes to the issuing of the Gastein Card:

• The digital Gastein Card will be preferred and promoted in future.
• For group registrations or similar special cases, an A4 print version of the Gastein Card including the Guest Mobility Ticket print (for conventional printers) is available at the Tourist Office.
• The handwritten Gastein Card remains available as an emergency solution (e.g. in the event of power failures or printing problems) – limited issue depending on the size of the business.
• The PVC versions (one-time printable & re-printable) will be discontinued without replacement!
