Mountains & Music – the two go hand in hand. Here in the mountains of Gastein, too, in the heart of the Hohe Tauern range, we sing and make music with skill, joy and passion. In this potpourri of our musical world, folk music has just as much of a role to play as the latest hits. And that is definitely reflected in the summer’s biggest music event, when guests and stars from around the globe gather in Gastein for the ever-popular Mountains & Music Week – or, in German, “Berge & Musik Woche”, often abbreviated just to “BuM” – which will take place in 2017 from 3 to 10 June.

With the Hohe Tauern at our doorstep, how could we not combine one beautiful thing with another. That’s why, during Mountains & Music Week, our local hosts also invite you to take part in musical hikes through the magnificent mountain world of Gastein Valley. Whether at local festivals or an evening concert of stars, spend countless high-spirited moments alongside fellow revelers.
