Gastein Valley Bike Path

The Gastein Valley Bike Path leads you in the most pleasant way imaginable through the Gastein valley. Setting out to the south from Klammstein, it initially takes you gently uphill, with a steeper climb coming at Bad Gastein, bringing you to an elevation of around 1,050 m above sea level. In the north, the Gastein Bike Path feeds into the Tauern Bike Path. Since spring 2011, the Gastein Bike Path is also part of the new Alpe Adria Bike Tour (a north-south traverse of the Alps from Salzburg to Venice), with one particularly impressive section being the 130 meters-long Klammstein Bike Tunnel.
